Lackawanna River June 25, 2009 After this past weekend's heavy rain, the river is finally coming down to an easily fishable level. The sulphurs have come and gone but fishing should remain good as the water is still cool. Look for caddis, blue winged olive, and sporadic flying ant hatches in the morning. In the evening, try throwing streamers just at dark, as big fish begin to feed. Nymphing should remain productive, as it has been all season. If you're not having any luck, try down-sizing your presentation by throwing sizes 18 and 20s. Stream flow: 189 cfs. Happy fishing.
